Vinland Saga
Vinland Saga (by Makoto Yukimura) is a story about Vikings in the 11th century. It starts with Thorfinn, a young boy who only wants revenge against Askeladd, the man who killed his father. The first part is exciting, full of fights and war. But then, the story changes a lot. Thorfinn stops fighting and starts looking for peace. He decides that true strength is not fighting, but choosing to forgive and build a better life. He wants to find a safe place called "Vinland." I really enjoyed Vinland Saga because it totally changed my idea of what it means to be strong. It shows that peace is much harder and better than war, which made me look at history and fighting in a new way.

Berserk
Berserk (by Kentaro Miura) is a famous story. It follows Guts, the "Black Swordsman" who is always fighting terrible monsters and demons. The world is very cruel and dangerous. The story often talks about destiny and bad luck. The main part of the story is the sad friendship between Guts and Griffith, which ends in a terrible event called the Eclipse. The drawings are amazing and very detailed, showing a dark world. I loved Berserk because it’s a powerful story about never giving up. Guts goes through endless pain, but he always continues to fight for the little bit of hope he has. It changes your point of view by showing that even when things are very bad, the simple choice to keep living and fighting is the most important thing you can do.
